Zurich Pottery Class for Beginners – Working on the Pottery Wheel
Would you like to learn pottery and work on the potter’s wheel? Our pottery course for beginners in Zurich offers you a hands-on introduction to the art of wheel-throwing—step by step, in a small group, with personalized guidance. We’re located in Zurich’s Seefeld neighborhood and look forward to welcoming everyone who has never tried pottery before.
Here’s what to expect in the film production course in Zurich
- 4 sessions (Basic) or 6 sessions (Intensive, including 2 additional hub sessions)
- Each session lasts about 2.5 hours
- About 2 hand-made pottery pieces per session, which you’ll glaze later
- Clay, glazes, and firing costs included—no additional charges
- Dates can be combined individually
- Finished works ready for collection after approx. 3-6 weeks
- After that, you’ll have the option to use the studio as a [Member]
Course content & procedure
- Turning – Introduction, the Cylinder as a Basic Shape
- Turning – Depth & Shape Variations
- Filming (optional, 6-session package) – additional hands-on practice
- Filming (optional, 6-session package) – additional hands-on practice
- Turning – refining the shape & foot
- Glazing – color & surface finish with high-fire glazes

Booking
Cancellation policy: If you cancel at least 7 calendar days before the start of the course, the course fee will be refunded. A processing fee of CHF 30 will be charged. The processing fee is waived when converting to a voucher. Cancellation must be made by e-mail. If the cancellation is made less than 7 calendar days before the start of the course, the entire course fee is due and no rebooking is possible.
