General Terms and Conditions (AGB) – Töpferei8008

1. scope of application

These GTC apply to all membership subscriptions, courses & workshops and individual group bookings (e.g. company events, team events) at Töpferei8008 in Zurich.
By signing the contract (membership) or registering (courses/groups), participants accept these terms and conditions.

2. prices and billing

• The current prices for memberships, courses and additional costs (clay, glazes, firings etc.) are published on the website www.toepferei8008.ch.

• Membership costs and additional costs are invoiced monthly.

• Course and group bookings must be paid for in advance.

• Price changes will be announced at least 14 days before they come into effect.

3. workshop rules

• The current workshop rules are available digitally and are on display in the workshop.

• They are binding for all members, course participants and groups and must be adhered to at all times.

• Violations of workshop rules or safety instructions may result in immediate exclusion. Contributions already paid will not be refunded.

4. membership

• The conditions for memberships (scope, termination, interruption, additional costs, etc.) are set out in the membership contract and, together with these GTC, form the binding basis.

• In the event of late payment or repeated breaches, the membership may be terminated without notice.

5. courses & workshops

• Registration: Registration is binding and obliges you to pay the course fees.

• Payment: Course fees must be paid in full before the start of the course (invoice or online payment).

• Withdrawal/rebooking:

  • Cancellation up to 14 days before the start of the course: free of charge.

  • Rebooking up to 14 days before the start of the course: free of charge.

  • Cancellation up to 7 days before the start of the course: 50% refund.

  • Rebooking up to 7 days before the start of the course: CHF 40.

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before the start of the course or no-show: no refund.

• Illness / accident: If a medical certificate is presented, a rebooking can be made by arrangement. A rebooking fee of CHF 40 will be charged for this.

• Course implementation:

  • Töpferei8008 reserves the right to cancel courses if the number of participants is too low or for important reasons (e.g. illness of the course leader).

  • Course fees already paid will be refunded in full or can be used for a replacement course.

6. individual group bookings

• Special conditions apply for private groups, team events or company events.

• Cancellation:

  • Cancellation up to 14 days before the date: free of charge.

  • Cancellation up to 7 days before the date: 50% refund.

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before the date or no-show: no refund.

• Adjustment of the number of participants:

  • The final number of participants can be adjusted free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the event.

  • After that, the originally registered number will be charged.

7. safety

• Use of the workshop is at your own risk.

• Course participants, groups and members undertake to comply with all safety and usage instructions.

• Kilns are operated exclusively by mentors.

• Damage caused by improper behavior may be invoiced.

8 Liability & insurance

• Töpferei8008 accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, damage or loss of personal items.

• Members, course participants and groups are responsible for taking out private accident and liability insurance.

9. data protection

• Personal data will be treated confidentially and used exclusively for contract and course processing.

• No data will be passed on to third parties without consent.

10. choice of law & place of jurisdiction

• Swiss law shall apply exclusively.

• The place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
